The government amended and supplemented three regulatory instruments setting out rules governing relations in connection with the implementation of Bulgaria's Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP), funded through the EU's Recovery and Resilience Facility, the government press service said on Wednesday, covering the ministers' weekly meeting.
The changes ensure that the regulatory framework for implementing the RRP is aligned with applicable EU and national law. They regulate obligations relating to monitoring, control, auditing and data retention, as well as the deadlines for reporting obligations and the commitment to maintain the administrative capacity required to implement and complete the obligations and responsibilities under the RRP.
The amendments also concern the continued implementation of Bulgaria's commitments regarding the prevention, detection, reporting and correction of (suspected) irregularities after 2026, in line with the European Commission's Guidelines (C/2026/2614).
