A specialized team from the Bulgarian Navy destroyed a floating drone in a controlled explosion after it was found on a beach near Sinemorets, the Ministry of Defence said in a press release.

The device, discovered in the "Korabite" area, contained four projectiles that were safely removed and transported to the naval base in Burgas. Due to suspected residual explosive material that could not be extracted, the vessel itself was detonated on site.

The operation was carried out by a unit from the Burgas Naval Base following a request from the regional administration and with approval from Chief of Defence Emil Eftimov.

The team operated under orders from Navy Commander Kiril Mihaylov, adhering strictly to safety protocols during the mission.
