Caretaker Health Minister Michail Okoliyski dismissed Ivanka Dineva as Director of the Medical Supervision Executive Agency (MSEA), the ministry reported on Friday. Deputy Director Radka Nikolova was appointed as acting Director. The decision was made after assessing the need to strengthen capacity in key areas of the agency’s operations.

Among the reasons for the change is the need to improve coordination and effectiveness in managing donor situations in the country and to optimize processes for selecting suitable recipients for transplants of Bulgarian citizens. The change also reflects a focus on clearer mechanisms for transparency, openness, and active communication with the public and the media.

The Health Ministry thanked Dineva for her efforts and work during her tenure at the MSEA.

Dineva assumed the position of MSEA Director on September 26, 2023.
