Caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gurov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Bulgaria Irene Maria Plank, the Council of Ministers reported on Monday on its Facebook page. During the conversation, Gurov presented the government's main priorities, which include holding fair elections, affirming the country's Euro-Atlantic affiliation, ensuring financial stability, and consistently fighting corruption.
Gurov emphasized the cabinet's commitment to strengthening the rule of law and increasing trust in institutions. He expressed confidence that active dialogue with Germany will continue to contribute to the sustainable development of bilateral relations. Gurov and Plank discussed opportunities for deepening the partnership in areas of mutual interest, including the economy, investment, energy, defence, and innovation.
Plank wished the government success. She emphasized the deepening cooperation between Bulgaria and Germany within the framework of their partnership as member states of the European Union and NATO.
