Bulgaria's Parliament Chair Raya Nazaryan has conferred with Asaf Hajiyev, Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC), the National Assembly's press centre said on Friday. Hajiyev is visiting Bulgaria to attend the 66th Session of the PABSEC General Assembly that will be hosted by this country's Parliament from November 23 to 25. 

"I expect that in Sofia, parliamentarians from the member states of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation will take forward-looking decisions that support cooperation and development in the Black Sea region," Nazaryan said. 

Nazaryan expressed satisfaction with the excellent dialogue between the National Assembly and PABSEC, noting that Bulgarian parliamentarians are actively involved in the discussions and in preparing the Assembly’s recommendations.

PABSEC Secretary General Asaf Hajiyev congratulated Parliament Chair Nazaryan on her election. He noted that his organization highly values the contribution of Bulgaria's Parliament and the members of the National Assembly delegation to PABSEC to the constructive dialogue and the excellent organization in support of the successful convening of the 66th General Assembly.

Also present at the meeting was Petar Kanev, head of the National Assembly delegation to PABSEC and Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy and Innovation Chair, who outlined the key events and discussions planned for the 66th Session of the PABSEC General Assembly.
