site.btaPM Expects Renewal of Dialogue with Social Partners on Draft Budgets
Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov expressed hope that dialogue between social partners will be renewed, after employer organizations did not attend Wednesday’s meeting of the National Council for Tripartite Cooperation, which was scheduled to discuss the three draft budgets for 2026 - the State Budget, the budget of the Public Social Insurance, and the budget of the National Health Insurance Fund.
Zhelyazkov made the statement during the celebration of Metallurgist’s Day at the InterContinental Sofia Hotel, organized by the Bulgarian Association of the Metallurgical Industry in partnership with the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy.
He emphasized that no government can work in isolation or for its own sake. "Today also shows that, the fact that organized employers did not attend the meeting is also a form of dialogue. I believe we will emerge stronger from this situation and that next week we will be able to speak of a truly effective dialogue," the Prime Minister said.
