Traffic is heavy at all border crossings with Romania, the Border Police reported on its website early Thursday, with data updated as of 6:00 a.m.

The ferry service at the Oryahovo–Bechet crossing remains suspended due to low water levels on the Danube. Drivers are advised to use alternative border points. Meanwhile, major repairs are underway on the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse, where traffic has been restricted to a single lane and is being regulated by staff of the contractor company.

Traffic is reported as normal at all border checkpoints with North Macedonia, Serbia, and Turkiye.

On the border with Greece, the road to Xanthi via Zlatograd is closed on Greek territory to all vehicles until September 13 due to repair works. Passage through the Makaza checkpoint is recommended instead. Construction is also ongoing on the Rudozem–Xanthi route on the Greek side, where authorities have put up signs marking the area as a construction site with entry prohibited to unauthorized persons.
