Information Event in Skopje Popularizes Bulgarian Higher Education

An information event presenting the opportunities for education at Bulgarian universities in the 2024/2025 academic year was held at the Bulgarian Cultural and Information Centre in Skopje on Saturday. Addressing the young people and parents in attendance, Ambassador to North Macedonia Angel Angelov said that higher education in Bulgaria means European education and European future.

Rositsa Apostolova, chief expert at the Education Ministry's Higher Education Department, presented the higher education establishments in Bulgaria where nationals of North Macedonia and such of Bulgarian origin can apply under two Council of Ministers decrees. The attendees were acquainted with the registration process, the Bulgarian education system, the rights of foreign students in Bulgarian universities, and the admission exams.

Saturday's event was part of a series of presentations done by experts of the Bulgarian Education Ministry and the State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad to popularize Bulgarian higher education in North Macedonia. A presentation was held in Bitola on Friday, and another one is scheduled for Strumica on Sunday.
