site.btaSerbia and Republic of Cyprus Sign Defence Cooperation Agreement

Serbia and the Republic of Cyprus have signed an agreement on Wednesday that will further contribute to the development of defence cooperation between the two countries, the Tanjug news agency reported. 

During an official visit to the Republic of Cyprus, at the invitation of the country's Defence Minister, Vasilis Palmas, Serbian Defence Minister, Bratislav Gasic, emphasized the importance of constructive discussions on defence cooperation between the two countries, as well as on security risks and current regional and global developments.

Following a one-to-one conversation with Palmas and a meeting between the two countries' government delegations, Gasic stated that Serbia places great importance on strengthening its good relations with the Republic of Cyprus, based on what he called "traditional friendship, historical closeness and mutual respect between the two peoples".
