The Council of Ministers Tuesday approved a draft Memorandum of Understanding between Bulgaria’s Interior Ministry and Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security on cooperation in the fields of cybersecurity and combating high-tech and cybercrime.

The memorandum aims to establish a framework for collaboration between the two countries in cybersecurity, as well as in the prevention, detection, investigation, and fight against cybercrime and high-tech crime, in compliance with the applicable laws of both countries.

The agreement foresees cooperation, information and experience exchange, policies and models for cybersecurity management, protection of critical infrastructure, and joint digital and technical investigations. This includes mutual assistance in tracking, collecting, preserving, and analyzing electronic evidence in accordance with the national legislation of both parties.
