National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria (NAMRB) Executive Director Silvia Georgieva said that Bulgaria has had stable and strong local government for 143 years. Speaking at the Annual Meeting of Local Authorities in Albena resort (on the Black Sea) on Sunday, she thanked all mayors, municipal councils, and experts for their work and efforts, for the big battles and small victories they achieve every day, for taking the time and contributing to the activities of the National Association.

The annual meeting of local authorities is the biggest event for local politicians, she added. Georgieva emphasized that this year's meeting is held under the motto "Endless opportunities in an uncertain world." In her words, challenges actually bring opportunities to discover new paths. "Uncertainty gives us the opportunity to think boldly, act responsibly, and believe that together we can find a way forward," Georgieva concluded.
