The Situation Center at the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry has issued a warning to travellers to Italy about possible major delays and cancellations of regional and long-distance rail services due to an upcoming strike.

The strike will take place from 9 p.m. on September 4 to 6 p.m. on September 5, affecting services operated by Gruppo FS (Trenitalia), Italo, and Trenord, the ministry said on its website.

The Foreign Ministry noted that operators have provided links to lists of trains that are expected to run despite the strike, mainly from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Bulgarian nationals in Italy during this period are advised to monitor the latest updates on possible changes to rail schedules and routes through the online platforms of the respective operators.
