Prime Minister Zhelyazkov said that executive branch deeply and sincerely values its partnership with local authorities. He emphasized the government’s priority for children to enter preschool education at the age of four. "A child is shaped into a future worthy citizen from birth in the family environment, but at some point they must be entrusted to the care of educators, teachers, lecturers, and professors on their future career path, so that the future of Bulgaria is entrusted to the hands of worthy Bulgarians," he said.
Education Minister Valchev commented that kindergartens are the most important institutions because they shape children’s early cognitive and intellectual development as well as their values. He praised Kostinbrod for being an active municipality and participating in the Education Ministry’s initiatives.
