site.btaEducation Minister Valchev: Kindergartens Key to Children’s Development and Values

Education and Science Minister Krasimir Valchev attended on Tuesday the official opening of a new kindergarten in Kostinbrod (West Bulgaria). He told reporters that in addition to being the most colorful and cheerful institutions, kindergartens are also the most important, as early childhood is the period when children’s intellectual, cognitive, and language skills develop most intensively. He emphasized that this stage is also crucial for shaping children’s values and moral upbringing.

The Minister congratulated the mayors of municipalities for implementing educational projects, highlighting Kostinbrod as one of the most active municipalities in utilizing the Ministry of Education and Science’s programmes.

Valchev also thanked Patriarch Daniil for attending many of the ministry’s events, stressing that together they are discussing how to raise children to be knowledgeable, capable, and kind individuals.
