In addition to the compensation from the State budget, aid from municipal budgets is also planned in the municipalities of Dryanovo and Sevlievo.
Donations are being collected in Sevlievo Municipality following coordination with the Healthcare and Social Activities Department at the municipal administration.
In coordination with all involved institutions, efforts to overcome the consequences of the disaster situation and support the affected households are continuing.
Water service to Sevlievo Municipality was restored. The water is fit for household use and drinking. Activities to clear the affected sections in the region are continuing.
Train traffic between the Tsareva Livada and Tryavna stations has been temporarily suspended due to a lack of power in the overhead contact network and a fallen rock mass on the railway track. Passengers are being transported by buses.
There are no closed sections on the national road network, but traffic for heavy goods vehicles on the Tryavna – Tsareva Livada road will be temporarily restricted.
A state of emergency was declared Saturday in several municipalities across the regions of Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, and Lovech following intense overnight rainfall and the subsequent overflowing of rivers and reservoirs. One fatality has been reported so far, a 55-year-old man in the area of Sevlievo. Homes and yards were flooded, roads closed, and evacuations carried out in some settlements.
