Minister of Environment and Water Manol Genov commented to journalists another unsuccessful no-confidence vote against the Zhelyazkov cabinet, calling it “a senseless vote” and “wasted time for the Bulgarian Parliament .”I can list several laws that are waiting to be passed by MPs,” he said.
Genov urged on the next no-confidence vote, so that Parliament can get it over with and move on to dealing with meaningful work. “It is not like unregulated landfills are not a pressing matter”, he noted.
Genov pointed out that no-confidence motions tabled by the Left had more thought out ideas and consequences.
Regarding MRF-New Beginning deciding to support the government, Genov commented that this gives the cabined more ambition to work a lot more and to implement its programme/.
There were many poor arguments during the debate on the Environment sector, Manol Genov said, pointing to ignorance of functions, the distribution between the authorities. “They want the resignation of the government, the Minister of Environment, while admitting that the municipal authorities are guilty,” the minister said.
