The process of joining the eurozone is not only an economic and financial challenge, but also an opportunity to build a more resilient, efficient, and secure state, along with a more dynamic and active economy, Interior Minister Daniel Mitov said Friday during a discussion on “The Effect of the Eurozone: Lessons from Member States.”
Minister Mitov emphasized that the topic of the current discussion is both timely and highly relevant. He also stressed that the success of the euro adoption process depends on the active involvement and awareness of the entire society.
“I believe that trust in institutions is an irreplaceable element of this process, and that trust is built through transparent actions and open, active communication with the public,” the minister noted. He added that the Ministry of Interior will continue to carry out its responsibilities with a strong commitment to security and public peace.
The forum s organized by the Economic and Social Council of Bulgaria and is part of the Communication Strategy for the Introduction of the Euro in the country.
