site.btaSports Minister: Joint Initiatives with Local Authorities, Associations Will Boost Sports Development

The joint efforts of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria, and the Association of Bulgarian Sports Federations demonstrate strong support for the development of sports in the country, Sports Minister Ivan Peshev said Thursday at a working meeting with representatives of the two organizations.

Peshev emphasized the importance of joint initiatives aimed at modernizing and expanding sports infrastructure, as well as establishing sustainable models for financing sports activities by local authorities in support of young talents.

Also attending the meeting were Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Stoyan Andonov, the Minister’s Adviser Dimitar Georgiev, and Antoaneta Boeva, Director of the High-Performance Sports Directorate.
