PM Zhelyazkov to Attend European Political Community's Meeting in Tirana

Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov will take part in the sixth meeting of the European Political Community, which will be held on May 16 in Tirana, Albania, the Government press service said on Friday.

The forum is under the motto "A new Europe in a new world: unity - cooperation - joint action" and will bring together 46 heads of state and government from across the continent. The agenda includes a plenary session on security and the future of Europe.

Zhelyazkov will take part in a roundtable on the challenges of mobility and youth empowerment. The discussion will cover topics such as legal migration routes, combating human trafficking, the brain drain, the labour market, the role of artificial intelligence and the active involvement of youth and the diaspora in regional development.

The European political community aims to promote political dialogue and cooperation on issues of common interest and to strengthen the security, stability and prosperity of the European continent. The next European Political Community Forum is scheduled for autumn 2025 in Denmark.

The meeting in Tirana will be attended by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Agence France-Presse reported. The news was announced by the French presidency, which is the initiator of this European format bringing together EU Member States as well as other European countries.

Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic and European Council President Antonio Costa will also attend the meeting.
