National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova congratulated Karlos Nasar on winning first place in the 97 kg category at the European Weightlifting Championship in Chisinau, Moldova, said Parliament’s press centre on Sunday.

The gold medal, won with record achievements, has strengthened Nasar’s position as one of the most titled Bulgarian athletes of all time, Kiselova said.

"I believe that on a personal level, your success brings you even greater satisfaction given the fact that you competed in a new category at the European Championships. This is a clear proof of both your innate talent and your ambition, hard work and perseverance. In this way, you have become an example for the younger generation to follow," she noted.

Kiselova thanked Nasar for the numerous joyful moments he brought to the entire Bulgarian society. “I am convinced that you will write more golden pages in the history of Bulgarian weightlifting,” she added.
