Nurgyul Salimova finished eighth at the Shymkent FIDE Women's Grand Prix. In the ninth and final round, the Bulgarian drew with Russian Alexandra Goryachkina with the white pieces.
With the added half point, Salimova collected a total of 3.5 points.
