A Vietnamese parliamentary delegation led by National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue is paying a visit to Bulgaria at the invitation of Parliament Chairman Rosen Zhelyazkov, Parliament's press office said. The delegation was welcomed on Sunday by Parliament's Deputy Chair Rositsa Kirova, who wished Vuong a fruitful visit.
The two parliament leaders will hold a one-to-one meeting, after which they will open plenary talks between the delegations. Several documents will be signed, including a Memorandum of Understanding between the two parliaments and a Memorandum of Understanding between their administrations, cultural and tourism cooperation programmes for the 2024-2026 period with Vietnam's Culture, Sports and Tourism Ministry, and a memorandum of understanding establishing friendship and cooperation ties between Pernik Region and Vinh Phuc province.
Zhelyazkov and Vuong will make a joint media statement.
The agenda of the visit includes meetings with President Rumen Radev and Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov.
On Monday afternoon, Vuong will address the participants in a Bulgarian-Vietnamese economic forum on policies and legislation for the development of relations between the two countries. Rositsa Kirova will open the event.
Bilateral meetings will also be held at the Ministries of Tourism, of Culture and of Foreign Affairs. The Vietnamese delegation will visit Burgas (on the Black Sea).
