The day's programme at the Apollonia Arts Festival has two book premiers, two film screenings and three concerts. It is the 39th edition of the festival, which opened Monday with a gala concert by the Stefan Makedonski Music Theatre.

The day opened with the press launch of a new poetry collection by Stefan Tsanev ("Nebesna Gledna Tochka" [Celestial Point of View]), followed by a photobook by Mihail Zaimov ("Sozopol in Images and Words").

The films that the bill has for the Tuesday audiences are a documentary about renowned Bulgarian lawyer, intellectual and public figure Kristian Takov, and a feature film by writer Antoaneta Bachurova and director Vladimir Lyutskanov.

At the local archaeology museum, Veneta Neinski will give a piano concert with works by Ferenc Liszt, Dimitar Nenov and Frederic Chopin. On the music programme is also a concert by the Bon-Bon children's choir early in the day and a stint by Michaela Marinova and her band.
