site.btaSeven Bulgarians to Participate In International Badminton Tournament in Nantes

Seven Bulgarian athletes will participate in an international badminton tournament, which will be held in the French city of Nantes from 15 to 18 June.

Three-time European champions Stefani Stoeva and Gabriela Stoeva is seeded No. 1 in the women's doubles competition and will start directly from the second round.

On 15 June, Hristomira Popovska, Kaloyana Nalbantova, Dimitar Yanakiev, Ivan Rusev and Ilian Stoynov will start from the qualification round. Rusev will play Rune Van Dalm (the Netherlands) and Yanakiev will play Karan Rajarajan of Denmark.

In the women’s singles draw, Popovska is seeded No. 8. Her first opponent is Juliane Piron (France), while Nalbantova will play Gladys Mbabazi (Uganda).

In men's doubles, Rusev and Stoynov, seeded No. 4 in the qualifications, will play Ruben Garcia and Carlos Piris from Spain.
