Bulgarian Mission Members in Pakistan to Get Danger Money

The Council of Ministers on Tuesday added Pakistan to the list of countries in which employees posted on a long-term basis to Bulgaria's missions are paid danger money amounting to 15% of the basic amount of travel allowances for the country concerned.

The decision is prompted by an ever more pronounced and persistent deterioration in the security situation throughout the country over the last six months since the end of 2021.

"The deepening economic problems are creating conditions for social discontent, expanding terrorist group activities and continued threat to foreign diplomatic missions in Pakistan," the Government Information Service said.
