Bulgarian Posts AD said Thursday that it has been advised by the postal operator in Turkiye of serious delays in the processing and shipment of parcels due to the damage to facilities and infrastructure caused by the February 6 earthquakes. The regions most affected are Adana, Adiyaman, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaras, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye and Sanliurfa, as well as the neighboring villages.
The Bulgarian Posts will publish on its website updates on the situation in Turkiye as regards postal services.
On February 8, Bulgarian Posts informed of continuing delays in the processing and shipment of incoming and outgoing international shipments from UK postal operator Royal Mail. The reason for the delay is a cyber-attack.
