site.btaDeputy PM Donev to Head Administrative Reform Council, Council for People with Disabilities
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Galab Donev has been appointed Chair of the Administrative Reform Council by a decision of the Council of Ministers, the Government Information Service reported on Wednesday. The Council is an advisory body to the Council of Ministers tasked with coordinating government policy in the field of public administration and is headed by a deputy prime minister.
The Council’s functions include the structuring and optimization of the administration, human resources management and civil service policy, as well as improving administrative services and reducing administrative burden.
Deputy Prime Minister Donev will also head the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, the Cabinet decided further. The Council facilitates cooperation in the development and implementation of policies regarding the rights of persons with disabilities. It is an advisory body comprising representatives of the state appointed by the Council of Ministers, nationally representative organizations of and for persons with disabilities, nationally representative organizations of workers and employees, nationally representative organizations of employers, and the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria.
