Prime Minister Rumen Radev will visit Berlin, where he will hold talks with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Monday, the Cabinet's press centre said on Sunday.
Following the official welcoming ceremony for the Bulgarian Prime Minister with military honours at the Chancellor's Office, Radev and Merz will hold a one-on-one meeting. A plenary meeting of the two delegations will also take place with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Investments and Industry Alexander Poulev and Foreign Minister Velislava Petrova. The talks will focus on issues related to bilateral cooperation, European policy and international security policy.
Germany is the first country Rumen Radev is visiting in his capacity as Prime Minister. The visit reaffirms the strategic and friendly relations between the two countries and reflects Bulgaria’s desire to strengthen its partnership with Germany both bilaterally and within the framework of multilateral cooperation, especially within the EU and NATO. Monday’s high-level meeting will give new impetus to political dialogue and outline opportunities for deepening the partnership, the press service added.
