Bulgarian ski jumper Vladimir Zografski was sixth after the first jump on the large hill in the Olympic ski jumping competition at the Milan Cortina Olympics on Saturday. The 32-year-old Zografski landed at 133.5 metres and scored 139.3 points.
Japan's Ren Nikaido leads midway through the competition after producing the longest jump of 140.0 metres for 154.0 points. World champion Domen Prevc of Slovenia is second with 147.0 points following a 138.5-metre jump, while Norway's Kristoffer Eriksen Sundal sits third after landing at 136.0 metres for 145.0 points.
The competition is taking place in light snowfall.
Defending Olympic champion from Beijing 2022 Olympics, Marius Lindvik of Norway, failed to qualify for the final round, finishing 32nd with a jump of 123.0 metres and 119.3 points.
Earlier at the Games, Zografski placed 32nd on the normal hill. His best Olympic result remains 14th place on the same hill at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympics.
