site.btaEurostat: Euro Area and EU Industrial Output Up in November; Bulgaria Records Year-on-Year Decline
Industrial production in the euro area and the EU rose year-on-year in November 2025, Eurostat, the EU's statistical office, said here on Thursday.
Bulgaria again recorded the sharpest decline among EU member states, placing last for a sixth straight month.
In November 2025 compared with November 2024, industrial production in the euro area rose by 2.5% year-on-year and in the EU by 2.2%.
In the euro area, intermediate goods output rose by 1.1% year-on-year, energy by 0.5%, capital goods by 3.6% and non-durable consumer goods by 3.4%. At the same time, output of durable consumer goods fell by 2.1%.
In the EU, industrial production rose year-on-year in intermediate goods by 0.9%, capital goods by 4.0% and non-durable consumer goods by 2.6%. Output fell in energy by 0.3% and in durable consumer goods by 2.9%.
Ireland (up 10.6%), Cyprus (up 10.5%) and Croatia (up 8.8%) posted the biggest year-on-year increases in industrial production. The steepest falls were in Bulgaria (down 9.3%), Malta (down 8.2%) and Hungary (down 5.5%).
