The Council of Ministers adopted a decree on Tuesday amending the Ordinance on Fees for the Use of Public Airports and Air Navigation Services in Bulgaria. The amendments expand the range of entities that have the right to appeal against an airport operator's decision on airport charges.

In addition to individual airport users, their representatives and associations of airport users under the Civil Aviation Act will now also have this right. This ensures equality and transparency in the process of setting airport charges.

The amendment is in implementation of Directive 2009/12/EC on airport charges. The change will have no financial impact on the state budget, does not introduce new administrative obligations for stakeholders, and does not change the charges.
