The National Statistical Institute announced on its website on Tuesday that in November 2025, the Total Producer Price Index increased by 12.0% compared to the same month of 2024. A 28.0% rise was observed in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, 17.0% in the mining and quarrying industry, and 10.2% in the manufacturing industry.

On an annual basis, the reported increase in producer prices in November 2024 was 1.1%, according to data from the National Statistical Institute. At that time, price growth was recorded in the mining and quarrying industry – 25.2% and in the manufacturing industry by 0.7%, while a decrease was observed in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 2.7%.

The Total Producer Price Index in Industry increased by 1.6% in November 2025 compared to the previous month. Higher prices were observed in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply - by 3.4%, and 1.0% in the manufacturing industry, while a decrease of 0.2% was registered in the mining and quarrying industry.

On a monthly basis in November 2024, the index rose by 2.9%, with higher prices reported in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 11.7%, the manufacturing industry by 0.2%, and the mining and quarrying industry by 0.1%, according NSI data.

Producer Price Indices measure the average change in the prices of industrial products, which are produced and sold by Bulgarian enterprises. They can be considered an early measure of the current inflation process in the economy, the NSI added.
