The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) discussed at an open meeting on Monday Bulgargaz’s proposal to reduce the price of natural gas by 3.33% for January 2026 compared with December 2025.
Bulgargaz has proposed a natural gas price for January of BGN 60.91/MWh (EUR 31.16/MWh), excluding access, transmission, excise duty and VAT. The regulator approved a natural gas price for December of BGN 63.01/MWh, or EUR 32.22/MWh, also excluding access, transmission, excise duty and VAT. This means that the price proposed by Bulgargaz for January is 3.33% lower than the December price.
The EWRC is expected to take a final decision on the price at a closed meeting on December 30.
