Starting on September 22, 2026, Wizz Air will launch regular direct flights between Varna, on the Black Sea, and Rome (Fiumicino Airport). The route will operate three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the company’s press centre said.

The new Varna–Rome service is part of Wizz Air’s strategy to expand its network of Bulgarian airports and to provide more affordable and convenient options for both leisure and business travel. With this addition, the airline continues to strengthen its presence in Varna and support regional connectivity.

Wizz Air also announced that, starting this week, it has begun operating regular direct flights from Sofia to Warsaw (Modlin Airport).
