site.btaBurgas Mayor Inspects Construction of Catamarans in Southern Industrial Zone

Burgas Mayor Dimitar Nikolov Thursday welded three coins with the coat of arms of the Burgas Municipality under the keel blocks of three newly built catamarans, which are being produced in Burgas.

The three catamarans are the first from a future series of ten vessels that the Bering Yachts company will be producing in the seaside city. The company emphasized that direct investments in the land, workshops and the organization of production in the Southern Industrial Zone of Burgas will reach EUR 20 million and at least 200 permanent jobs will be created in the enterprise.

The catamarans made in Burgas have all-aluminium hulls, hybrid engines and a length of 20 metres. They are family-type yachts, Nikolov pointed out and added that the production of a series of lower-budget small vessels for the fishing fleet with a length of up to 15 metres has also been planned.

Bering Yachts specializes in the production of motor and expedition yachts. In Burgas, production includes aluminum hull construction, superstructure construction, assembly, final finishing works and interior.
