site.btaMECh Leader Radostin Vasilev Calls for Government Resignation

Morality, Unity, Honour (MECh) Chair Radostin Vasilev called Tuesday for the resignation of the Government, writing on Facebook that the three budget bills have been withdrawn.

At an online sitting on Tuesday, the Council of Ministers decided to propose that the National Assembly adopt a resolution withdrawing the 2026 State Budget Bill, as well as the National Health Insurance Fund Budget Bill, and the Public Social Insurance Budget Bill. As the budget has already passed first reading, this action requires a decision of Parliament, the Prime Minister explained to the media after a meeting of the Joint Governance Council. Rosen Zhelyazkov said he expected this to happen at Wednesday’s parliamentary sitting. He noted that it would mean a new budget procedure. The Prime Minister stated that the government would not resign.
