Nearly Three Tonnes of Undocumented Animal Products Seized at Bulgarian-Turkish Border
During an inspection of a bus with Turkish registration entering Bulgaria, inspectors found 1,582 kg of sheep fat and 605 kg of meat products without documents certifying their origin. In separate inspections of another bus and a van with Turkish registration, inspectors discovered an additional 300 kg and 330 kg of sheep fat without the required accompanying documentation. The goods were seized and are to be destroyed.
