A delegation from NATO’s Joint Force Command Naples, led by Commander Admiral George Wikoff, is on a two-day visit to North Macedonia and, together with Chief of the General Staff of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia Major General Sashko Lafchiski, met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski, the government press service in Skopje said.

The meeting focused on the current security situation in the region, opportunities for conducting training activities in North Macedonia, as well as promoting interoperability and further strengthening cooperation within NATO.

Wikoff underscored North Macedonia’s commitment “as an active participant in maintaining stability and security in the region”, highlighting the professionalism and contribution of the North Macedonian Army to NATO-led activities, the statement further said.
