Bulgaria highly values Jordan’s contribution to de-escalating the military conflict in the Middle East and to strengthening regional stability, President Rumen Radev said at a meeting in Riyadh with Jordan’s Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah. The two conferred on the sidelines of the ninth edition of the Future Investment Initiative forum, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the President’s press secretariat said on Wednesday.

Radev expressed Bulgaria’s appreciation for Jordan’s consistent policy of providing aid to refugees from Palestine, noting that this effort is crucial in limiting migration flows to Europe and deserves timely support from the European Union and the international community.

The President also praised the April 2025 high-level meeting Aqaba Process for the Balkans, hosted jointly in Sofia by himself and Jordan’s King Abdullah II, which focused on regional security challenges, combating illegal migration, radicalization, and terrorism.

Radev is visiting Saudi Arabia to take part in the Future Investment Initiative international forum.
