site.btaDelegation Led by PM Zhelyazkov Arrives in Vatican City to Attend Pope Leo XIV’s Inauguration

A Government delegation headed by Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov arrived in the Vatican City where it will attend Sunday's solemn Mass marking the start of the pontificate of Pope Leo XIV, the Government press service said here on Sunday. 

The Bulgarian delegation also includes Deputy Prime Ministers Atanas Zafirov and Grozdan Karadjov, as well as Bulgaria's Ambassador to the Holy See Kostadin Kodzhabashev.

After the mass, the Pope will greet the leaders of the delegations present.

Other dignitaries expected are US Vice-President JD Vance, French Prime Minister François Bayrou, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Belgium’s King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, and the Netherlands’ Queen Máxima and Prime Minister Dick Schoof.
