Bulgaria lost 0-4 to Greece in their second and final international friendly before the start of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Group E this September.

In the first half the two teams drew 0-0. After the break, however, the hosts picked up the pace to which the Bulgarian players failed to respond and conceded four goals. It was Bulgaria's fourth match of the year 2025 and third defeat.

Bulgaria last overcame Greece 4-0 during the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the United States.
