Bulgaria finished top in the Senior Group Cross Battle at the European Cup in Rhythmic Gymnastics in Baku on Saturday.

Sofia Ivanova, Rachel Stoyanov, Alina Kolomiets, Suzan Pouladian, Danaia Atanasova and Viktoria Georgieva made a brilliant performance and secured the gold medal, with Italy taking silver and Azerbaijan finishing in third place.

The Bulgarians outperformed Ukraine with a score of 23.900 points on five ribbons, compared to Ukraine's 22.150. In the gold medal battle, Bulgaria dominated with three balls and two hoops, triumphing with a score of 26.800 points. Italy earned 23.250, and Azerbaijan finished with 22.250.

This is Bulgaria's third gold medal of the day, following the championship titles in the Junior Groups event and the Junior Individuals team competition.

The judge for Bulgaria in the Groups competition was Ina Deltcheva.

The European Cup in Rhythmic Gymnastics ends on Sunday with the Junior Groups and the Senior Individuals Cross Battles finals with Bulgarian participation.
