Bulgaria's national football team will face the Republic of Ireland in a two-legged playoff for a spot in the Nations League's second tier on March 20 and March 23, 2025. The draw ceremony was held in UEFA's headquarters in Nyon, France, on Friday.

Bulgaria will host the first match.

The national team finished second in Group C of League 3 with 9 points (2 wins, 3 draws, 1 loss) while the Republic of Ireland was third in League 2's Group B, where they accumulated 6 points. The Irish team lost twice to both England and Greece and won twice against Finland. 

Bulgaria and Ireland have played ten official matches against each other with the former leading with 3 to 2 wins in the head-to-head. Five of the games ended in a draw, including the last two they played in Nations League in 2020.
