Bulgarian chess player Beloslava Krasteva achieved her fourth victory at the European Individual Women's Chess Championship on Tuesday. The 24th tournament edition is held on the Greek island April 18-30.

The Bulgarian chess player won against Poland's Oliwia Kiolbasa in the fifth round. Now Krasteva takes the 14th place in the provisional ranking and is only half a point behind her only loss to date, ranking leader Ulviyya Fataliyeva from Azerbaijan.

Tuesday turned out to be a successful day for most of the other Bulgarians at the chess championship, including Victoria Radeva, Nadya Toncheva and Gergana Peycheva who beat their competitors from Georgia, Romania and Greece.

Radeva and Toncheva have 3 points each, Peycheva has 2.5 points and former world champion Antoaneta Stefanova has 2 points.

Petya Karaivanova drew with the white pieces against Germany's Charis Peglau and Antoaneta Stefanova drew with the black pieces against Austria's Elisabeth Hapala.

Wednesday is the only day off for the female chess players in the tournament and the European Championship continues on Thursday with the sixth round games.
