Vladimir Zografski achieved a record Olympic result for Bulgarian ski jumping, finishing 10th on the large hill at Milano Cortina 2026. The 32-year-old scored 277.3 points after two jumps of 133.5 metres in Predazzo.
Zografski was sixth after the first round of the competition, which was held in light snowfall.
World champion Domen Prevc of Slovenia won the title with 301.8 points. He was second after the first round with 147.0 points from a 138.5-metre jump, but secured gold with the longest jump of the competition, 141.5 metres, in the second round.
Japan's Ren Nikaido finished second with 295.0 points. He led at the halfway stage after a 140.0-metre jump worth 154.0 points, but his second jump of 136.5 metres proved insufficient for the title.
Poland's Kacper Tomasiak placed third with 291.2 points after jumps of 133.0 and 138.5 metres, adding a second Olympic medal after winning silver on the normal hill five days earlier.
The normal hill Olympic champion Philipp Raimund of Germany finished ninth with 277.4 points, while defending champion from Beijing 2022 Marius Lindvik of Norway finished 32nd with 119.3 points from a 123.0-metre jump and failed to qualify for the final round.
On February 9, Zografski finished 32nd in the ski jumping men's normal hill event at the Olympics. This is his fourth Olympics, his best result being 14th place in the normal hill competition at PyeongChang 2018.
