In two days, a platform with information on industrial zones will be launched on the website of the InvestBulgaria Agency.

The platform will provide comprehensive data about industrial zones across Bulgaria and will be accessible via the website of the InvestBulgaria Agency, said the agency’s Executive Director, Mila Nenova, during the Annual Meeting of Local Authorities held at the Albena resort.

Nenova shared insights into what investors are looking for, emphasizing that the primary question is about the availability of free land. The platform will include information about industrial zones, individual industrial sites and plots, properties, and the necessary technical infrastructure, essentially the type of information investors need when deciding where to invest.

According to her, one of the key concerns investors raise is the speed of the investment process. "They ask how many months it will take to build a factory, it’s not a matter of years," Nenova stressed.

She explained to the audience that processes are evolving at an increasingly rapid pace. "We must recognize that Bulgaria is not well-known enough as an investment destination. Other countries have much more aggressive campaigns, but what we can offer is faster infrastructure development and a more responsive administration," Nenova said.

She highlighted that Bulgaria’s geopolitical and strategic position, its stability as an EU member, its entry into Schengen, and the upcoming accession to the Eurozone, as well as the country’s technological development, are all attractive factors for investors. "There are many IT centers here and fast, easy access to initial funding," she added.
