Bulgarian National Assembly Chair Nataliya Kiselova conferred with representatives of the delegation of the Ethnic Council of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, who are on an official visit to Bulgaria, the Bulgarian National Assembly’s press office reported Tuesday.
Kiselova described Vietnam as a trusted friend and an important partner of Bulgaria in Southeast Asia. She voiced satisfaction with the traditionally dynamic political dialogue maintained at high level.
The National Assembly Chair also highlighted the active parliamentary exchange between the two countries, stressing that the current visit represents another important step in strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation in specific areas of mutual interest.
Kiselova emphasized Bulgaria’s commitment to further consolidating the longstanding ties of close friendship and mutual respect, which mark their 75th anniversary in 2025. She noted that traditional contacts and exchanges in education, science, and culture provide a solid foundation for the further development of bilateral relations.
As part of the visit, a joint declaration is expected to be adopted to elevate bilateral relations to the level of a strategic partnership, in line with joint declarations adopted at the highest level in 2013 and 2024.
