E-Government Minister Valentin Mundrov said Thursday that only 2% of Bulgaria's information systems are still not ready to operate with the euro, and a resolution is to be expected very soon.

Answering questions of the parliamentary committee, the Minister stated that there are also systems that need to be adapted till December. One of them is the system of the National Revenue Agency due to its specific features, Mundrov explained.

He stated that a smooth transition to the single European currency will be ensured in Bulgaria from January 1, 2026.

At the beginning of September, Minister Mundrov noted that inspections will begin on October 1, 2025, to guarantee the readiness of administrative systems to work with the euro.
