site.btaBTA and College of Management, Trade and Marketing Sign Partnership Agreement

A long-term partnership agreement was signed on Monday between the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) and the College of Management, Trade and Marketing (CMTM) in Sofia. This is the 48th agreement BTA has signed with a higher education institution. There are a total of 51 licensed higher education institutions in Bulgaria.

The College of Management, Trade and Marketing was established in 1993 under an intergovernmental agreement between Denmark and Bulgaria. Known for its strong partnership with Roskilde Business College in Denmark, it is popularly referred to as the Danish College.

By a decision of the National Assembly on April 18, 2001, the private school was granted the status of a private independent college for the training of professionals with higher education obtaining a professional bachelor’s degree.

On June 7, 2003, CMTM participated in the founding of the Association of Private Higher Education Institutions, whose goals include the creation of a national rating agency reflecting market demand for higher education specialists, and participation in international accreditation agencies for mutual recognition of diplomas. The quality of education at the college is confirmed by institutional and program accreditations, and is guaranteed through compliance with ISO 9001:2008 standards.

CMTM offers full-time, part-time (traditional), and part-time (alternative) forms of education. Students enrolled at the college graduate with a professional bachelor’s degree. Unlike a university bachelor, this degree is primarily practice-oriented and completed over a three-year period.

The college also offers online education, which is equivalent to full-time course studies in terms of curriculum content, awarded credits, and diploma issuance.

CMTM participates in the Erasmus+ program. The college holds an Extended Erasmus University Charter for academic exchange. Through this, students and faculty gain experience and develop their skills in universities and professional institutions across Europe.
