site.btaBulgaria’s GDP Grows by 3.1% in Q2 of 2025, Y/Y

Bulgaria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) rose by 3.1% in Q2 of 2025 compared to the same period of the previous year, and by 0.7% against Q1 of 2025, according to seasonally adjusted data from the National Statistical Institute, published on Thursday.

In Q2 of 2025, gross value added increased by 2.5% on a seasonally adjusted basis. Gross fixed capital formation registered growth of 6.7%, while final consumption was up by 6.5% year-on-year. Exports and imports of goods and services decreased by 4.9% and 0.6%, respectively, compared to Q2 of the previous year.

BTA notes that Bulgaria's GDP also grew 3.1% Y/Y in Q1 of 2025.
